Fans of Clip-Clop and Jingle-Jingle will be happy to see that the gang is once again all here. This time, Cat and Dog and Pig and Duck go with Mr. Horse for a boat ride. Mr. Horse rows them all out to sea, but soon his arms grow tired and Cat and Dog and Pig and Duck take over. As they are rowing, the waves keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger. Guess what happens next. You guessed it! Cat and Dog and Pig and Duck all fall out of the boat. Luckily, they are all wearing floatation devices, all except Duck, of course. Mr. Horse comes to the rescue and they all hold on tight as Mr. Horse swims to shore. Whew! In typical fashion, Cat and Dog and Pig and Duck cry, “AGAIN!” And, of course, Mr. Horse obliges.
There is a lot of repetition in this story and the simple text encourages interaction with listeners. The large, colorful and playful illustrations make this story the perfect choice for reading to groups. Expect requests to read AGAIN!
